Deauville Studios is an independent creative studio based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It was founded in March 2024.

The studio does not receive any subsidies or grants.

Understanding the Mission

From 2019 to 2024, I worked full-time as a software engineer at Centrall, a local sneaker shop. While also attending university, I often questioned how I could truly fulfill my passion for video and music.

The usual answer would be: "Make your passion your full-time job." But finding work in the artistic field is incredibly unstable. You need connections—and I hate needing connections.

I grew up in community housing. I see my people every day, and evolving without them feels wrong. Rather than helping some random people in agencies boost their sales with forgettable ads, I thought it would be wiser to uplift my own community.

Deauville is for our people.

Now that you know the context, you can understand our mission: Deauville Studios creates the necessary foundations for underrepresented communities to make their mark on culture by providing material, knowledge, and opportunities in a field where gatekeeping has become the norm.

Deauville doesn’t consume culture—it contributes to it.
